Hi, I’m Jibiké or BiKé – Welcome to my little corner of the internet!
Professionally, I wear many hats: I’m a Certified Mental Health Coach, a Public Health and Finance Specialist, and a passionate Disability Advocate. I’ve spent years serving individuals and communities, advocating for mental wellness, inclusive support systems, and empowering people to make informed decisions about their lives and their money.
But Simply Jibiké is something different. It’s my sacred space outside of work, a personal canvas where I share stories, reflections, and simple joys from this current phase of my life.
This blog is for women like me, navigating life after 40 and now embracing the fullness of our 50s. It’s about the real, raw, and beautiful experiences we face as we grow older, not just as women, but as mothers, aunties, friends, and sistas. From health challenges to the waves of menopause, shifting relationships, finding new joy in old hobbies, and learning to slow down and care for ourselves in deeper ways. This is where I talk about it all.
I love to sew, crochet, travel, and savor traditional, flavorful foods that remind me of home. These things ground me, and I’ll be sharing bits and pieces of these passions along the way. I’m also open to discovering new hobbies, embracing change, and simply learning how to live more intentionally, more joyfully, and more soulfully.
So, whether you’re here to find inspiration, feel seen, or just take a deep breath and relate, I’m grateful you’re here. Let’s journey together through the joys and challenges of midlife and beyond… one story, one meal, one moment at a time.
