Going back to college after 50 was one of those decisions that sounded exciting in my head… until it became real!
Now I’m asking myself how I will balance a full-time job, graduate school, assignments, sleep challenges, anxiety, and the unpredictable brain fog that sometimes comes with perimenopause.
Some days I feel powerful and ready to conquer the world. Other days, I wonder if I should have just stayed comfortable.
But I keep reminding myself that I am not starting from the beginning. I am bringing years of life experience, knowledge, resilience, and purpose into this new chapter.
I know I may have to learn differently, rest more, and give myself grace, but I also believe it is never too late to grow.
If you have gone back to school later in life, especially while working full-time, please share your experience and advice with me.
How did you cope? What helped you survive and succeed?

Had this Mediterranean dish at @mitolatincuisine and it was very good. The server was welcoming and very friendly but the receptionist was a hand full of unprofessional with stupid attitude.
Not sure if I’ll be going back there.

Day 1 - “You cannot heal what you refuse to acknowledge.”
Healing starts the moment you stop pretending the wound isn’t there. Denial feels safer in the short term, but it’s the acknowledgment the honest, uncomfortable naming of what hurt that actually opens the door to recovery.

• Denial doesn’t erase pain , it just puts it in storage, waiting.
• Naming what hurt you is the first act of taking your power back.
• Healing isn’t about forgetting; it’s about no longer flinching.
• You don’t have to explain your wound to anyone before you’re allowed to tend to it.
• Today, say the true thing out loud, even if it’s just to yourself.
