Have you ever loved someone so deeply that you’d d

Have you ever loved someone so deeply that you’d do absolutely anything for them? Show up for them. Defend them. Sacrifice for them. Believe in them even when they doubt themselves.

Now imagine turning that same love, loyalty, and commitment toward yourself.

What if you defended your own dreams? Protected your peace the way you protect others? Gave yourself permission to live boldly and unapologetically, without shrinking, without over-explaining, without waiting for approval?

I’m learning that self-love isn’t loud or selfish. It’s quiet courage. It’s choosing yourself in rooms where you once abandoned yourself. It’s forgiving yourself. It’s standing firm in who you are, especially as you grow older and wiser.

The way you love others so deeply? You deserve that love too.

I’ve learned this slowly, and honestly, sometimes the hard way. When you raise your standards, for friendships, relationships, work, families, peers etc, not everyone will come with you. The calls slow down. The invites decrease. The noise fades.

But here’s what I’ve discovered: the quiet isn’t loneliness, it’s alignment. It’s protection. It’s growth.

When you stop entertaining what drains you, you create space for what truly nourishes you. The right people don’t disappear when you grow, they adjust, they celebrate you, they meet you at your level.

So if your phone has been a little quieter lately, don’t panic. Check your standards. You might just be leveling up.
